And what I ordered

Manx kippers and 2 extra poached eggs

Visiting Ace Cafe London

Just off North Circular Road. Head towards Wembley from Hangar Lane, don't fade left straight away but take next exit vagu leads up to a roundabout. In through the lights and it is on the left. The D-Link building is opposite, and they provided the free wifi link at the cafe that I am using

What a pile...

Farmer's advice:
The most rotted manure is the best, and in this case can be most easily found under where the is grass on top. Of course for those who like a challenge there is on doubt a motherlode deep under the biggest steamy mass... It really is a case of all that glisters is not gold. Even though as an enthusiastic debuttant the temptation may be to go for the steamy fresh stuff and be proper authentic, the ready to go will have composted to be more the colour of earth.

Enough with the Supermarket sterilised compost

It's horses for courses time:
Having to pay for compost every time would become uneconomical so hey, try to find a friendly farmer. There are plenty about.

Meanwhile...

Bread and butter pudding by Rich. Cost: not much at all as the bread was free and even the cooking dish was found.

And some more digging

Its quite a job but its getting done. Want to get the digging finished this week then can kay it out and let it settle before laying seed down for grass.

Tree branch was dry

And taking all the light. A branch fell by itself so that was a good opportunity to get some more

Planting cybermen...

The food plants have been increased and potatoes are growing - the 9 'cybermen' along the back wall are potato grow bags!

A vine and more digging

First plant in the soil - me grapes! And a little more ground covered in the lawn preparation dig.

Just this half to do

Got 1/4 done this afternoon thanks to 3 people working and baskets for sifting - see the blue 1 left. Its a bit manual but that is fine by me

Half cleared of stones

Half the lawn area now dug

Recycling paint pots

There are plenty around, so why say outrageous prices at the garden or DIY places? Now they just need feet to let them drain...

Continuing to dig over the soil

There has been a lot of weed roots and stones to get rid of, but not as many bricks as we thought
